Cold drawn steel wire is a steel wire directly used for prestressed concrete after cold drawing. This type of steel wire has residual stress, low yield ratio, and low elongation rate, and is mainly used for pressure pipes. Low relaxation spiral ribbed steel wire needs to undergo stabilization treatment to obtain low relaxation performance. Scratched steel wire is a type of steel wire that undergoes periodic changes in indentation or protrusion on its surface using cold rolling or cold drawing methods.
The dents or protrusions on the surface of the steel wire can increase the grip force with concrete and can be used for pre tensioned prestressed concrete components. The diameter of steel wire is generally between 5mm and 10mm, and the strength level is generally between 1570MPa and 1860MPa.
