Prestressed steel wire is a general term for steel wire made from high-quality high carbon steel wire rods that have been pickled, phosphated, cold drawn, or stabilized. Pre stressed steel wire can be divided into two types according to different production processes: cold drawn steel wire and stress relieving steel wire. According to different surface states, it can be divided into smooth steel wire, scratched steel wire, spiral ribbed steel wire, and coated steel wire. Cold drawn steel wire is a steel wire directly used for prestressed concrete after cold drawing.
This type of steel wire has residual stress, low yield ratio, and low elongation rate, and is mainly used for pressure pipes. Low relaxation spiral ribbed steel wire needs to undergo stabilization treatment to obtain low relaxation performance. Scratched steel wire is a type of steel wire that undergoes periodic changes in indentation or protrusion on its surface using cold rolling or cold drawing methods. The dents or protrusions on the surface of the steel wire can increase the grip force with concrete and can be used for pre tensioned prestressed concrete components. The diameter of steel wire is generally between 5mm and 10mm, and the strength level is generally between 1570MPa and 1860MPa.
