Product Description
H-shaped steel is an efficient and economical cutting profile (others include cold-bent thin-walled steel, pressed steel plate, etc.). Due to the reasonable cross-sectional shape, they can make the steel perform more efficiently and improve the cutting capacity. Unlike ordinary I-shaped, the flange of h-shaped steel is widened, and the inner and outer surfaces are usually parallel, which makes it easier to connect with other components with high-strength bolts. Its size is reasonable and has a complete range of models, making it easy to design and choose. (Except for I-shaped steel used in crane beams)
The flanges of H-shaped steel are of equal thickness, with rolled cross-sections and combined cross-sections composed of 3 plates welded. I-shaped steels are rolled cross-sections. Due to poor production technology, the inner edge of the flange has a slope of 1:10. The rolling of H-shaped steel is different from ordinary I-shaped steel using only one set of horizontal rolls. Since its flange is wide and has no slope (or small slope), a set of vertical rolls must be added to simultaneously roll. Therefore, its rolling process and equipment are more complicated than ordinary rolling mills. The maximum rolled h-shaped steel that can be produced in China is 800mm, which can only be a welded composite cross-section.
