Steel strand:
The manufacturing process is divided into single wire manufacturing and strand manufacturing. Single wire is manufactured by (cold) wire drawing process. Depending on the product material, it can be high carbon steel wire rod, stainless steel wire rod or medium and low carbon steel wire rod. If galvanizing is required, the single wire needs to be electroplated or hot dip galvanized. During the steel strand manufacturing process, multiple steel wires are twisted into products through a stranding machine. After the prestressed steel strand is formed, it needs to be continuously stabilized. The product is generally collected on a spool or the finished product is a shaftless reel.
Galvanized steel strand is usually used for load-bearing cables, pull wires, reinforcing cores, etc. It can also be used as a ground wire for overhead power transmission, blocking cables on both sides of the highway or structural cables in building structures.
