The difference between galvanized steel pipe and hot-dip galvanized steel pipe
1. Different operation methods Galvanized steel pipe: The zinc in cold-dip galvanized steel pipe is obtained by electroplating at room temperature. Hot-dip galvanized steel pipe: The zinc in hot-dip galvanizing is obtained at 450 degrees Celsius to 480 degrees Celsius.
2. Different production processes: Galvanized steel pipe is to coat a layer of zinc on the surface of ordinary steel pipe to achieve the effect of corrosion prevention. Usually, the electroplating process is used. Only the outer wall of the steel pipe is galvanized, and the inner wall of the steel pipe is not galvanized.
3. Difference: There are differences in the process, one is chemical treatment and the other is physical treatment; hot-dip galvanizing has a firm coating and is not easy to fall off. The hot-dip galvanizing coating is thick, so it has strong anti-corrosion ability. The galvanized (electroplating) coating is uniform, the surface quality is good, and the coating thickness is generally between a few microns and more than ten microns.
4. Hot-dip galvanized pipe, in order to improve the corrosion resistance of steel pipes, general steel pipes are galvanized. Galvanized steel pipes are divided into hot-dip galvanizing and electro-galvanizing. Hot-dip galvanizing has a thick galvanized layer, while electro-galvanizing has a low cost and the surface is not very smooth.
5. First: The two have very different working methods. The zinc used in hot-dip galvanizing is obtained at a temperature of 450℃ to 480℃; while the zinc in cold-dip galvanized steel pipes is obtained through an electroplating process at room temperature.
