Product Description
Ordinary I-beam, light I-beam, because the cross-sectional dimensions are relatively high and narrow, so the moment of inertia of the two main sleeves of the cross-section is quite different, therefore, it can generally only be directly used for the member bent in the plane of its web or form it into a lattice stressed member. It is not suitable for axial compression members or components perpendicular to the web plane and bending, which makes it have great limitations in the scope of application. The use of I-beams should be selected according to the requirements of the design drawings.
I-beams are mainly used in various building structures, vehicles, bridge supports, machinery, etc.
I-beams:
The flange is thick inside and thin outside, with a certain slope (usually 14%), and the cross-section is in the shape of "I". Thicker webs, narrower flanges, and rounded edges.
H-beams:
The flanges are equal and parallel in thickness, with an "H" shaped section and right angles to the edges.
The flange is wide and thin, the web is close to the flange thickness, and the cross-section is more symmetrical.
