China's crude stainless steel output in April was 3.5168 million tons

On May 29, the statistics of crude stainleSs Steel production, import and export volume, and apparent consumption in mainland China in April 2025 were released as follows:

In April 2025, the national crude stainless steel production was 3.5168 million tons, which was the same as that in March 2025; it increased by 44,600 tons year-on-year compared with April 2024, an increase of 1.28%. Among them, the output of Cr-Ni stainless steel was 1.7729 million tons, a decrease of 41,600 tons from the previous month, a decrease of 2.29%; the output of Cr-Mn stainless steel was 983,100 tons, a decrease of 8,600 tons, a decrease of 0.86%; the output of Cr stainless steel was 712,700 tons, an increase of 43,400 tons, an increase of 6.48%; the output of duplex stainless steel was 48,068 tons, an increase of 9,136 tons year-on-year, an increase of 23.47%.

From January to April 2025, the export volume of stainless steel increased, the import volume decreased, and the net export volume increased significantly.

In April 2025, China's stainless steel imports were 142,100 tons, an increase of 13,200 tons from the previous month, an increase of 10.26%; a decrease of 51,900 tons from the previous year, a decrease of 26.76%. Among them: China's stainless steel imports from Indonesia were 115,900 tons, a decrease of 2,100 tons from the previous month, a decrease of 1.78%, and a decrease of 50,100 tons from the previous year, a decrease of 30.18%.

In April 2025, China's stainless steel exports were 447,800 tons, a decrease of 22,800 tons from the previous month, a decrease of 4.85%; an increase of 55,200 tons from the previous year, an increase of 14.05%.

In April 2025, China's net stainless steel exports were 305,700 tons, a decrease of 36,000 tons from the previous month, a decrease of 10.54% from the previous month; an increase of 107,100 tons from the previous year, an increase of 53.93%.

From January to April 2025, China's total stainless steel imports were 593,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 209,200 tons, a decrease of 26.08%. Among them, China's total stainless steel imports from Indonesia were 508,900 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 191,100 tons, a decrease of 27.3%.

From January to April 2025, China's total stainless steel exports were 1.6738 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 219,400 tons, an increase of 15.09%.

From January to April 2025, China's total net stainless steel exports were 1.0808 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 428,600 tons, an increase of 65.72%.

From January to April, my country's total stainless steel imports were 593,000 tons, down 209,200 tons year-on-year, a decrease of 26.08%; total exports were 1,673,800 tons, up 219,400 tons year-on-year, an increase of 15.09%. From January to April, my country's total net stainless steel exports were 1,080,800 tons, up 428,600 tons year-on-year, an increase of 65.72%.
From the perspective of apparent consumption, my country's apparent stainless Steel Consumption was 2,875,800 tons in April.
