Galvanized steel strip - a wide variety of steel products
1、 Introduction to Galvanized Steel Strip
Galvanized steel strip is processed by ordinary Steel Strip pickling, galvanizing, packaging and other processes. Due to its good anti-corrosion performance, it is widely used. Mainly used for making metal products that are cold processed without galvanizing. For example, metal products such as light steel keel, guardrail net peach shaped column, sink, rolling shutter door, bridge frame, etc.
2、 Advantages of galvanized steel strip
1. Strong corrosion resistance: Galvanized steel strip has good corrosion resistance, with a neutral salt spray test lasting up to 240 hours.
2. Beautiful appearance: Galvanized steel strip makes the appearance smooth, without zinc nodules and burrs, and appears silver white.
3. Maintain the characteristics of steel: galvanized without hydrogen embrittlement, no temperature hazards, and can ensure the mechanical properties of the material remain unchanged.
3、 Types of galvanized steel strips
1. Hot dip galvanized steel strip. For enterprises that immerse thin Steel Plates in molten zinc tanks, a thin steel plate with a layer of zinc adhered to its surface.
2. Alloyed galvanized steel strip. This type of steel plate is also manufactured using the hot-dip method with the lowest growth rate, but the only way after exiting the tank is to immediately heat it to around 500 ℃ to form an alloy coating of zinc and iron. This galvanized sheet has good adhesion and weldability.
3. Zinc steel plate. The use of electroplating method to manufacture this galvanized steel strip has good processability. But the coating is thinner and the corrosion resistance is not as good as hot-dip galvanized sheet.
4. Single sided galvanized and double-sided differential galvanized steel strips. Single sided galvanized steel strip refers to a product that is galvanized only on one side. In terms of welding, rust prevention treatment, processing, etc., it has better adaptability than double-sided galvanized sheet. To overcome the disadvantage of uncoated zinc on one side and increase investment returns, there is another type of galvanized sheet that is coated with a thin layer of zinc on the other side, namely double-sided differential galvanized sheet.
5. Alloy and composite galvanized steel strip. It is a steel plate made of zinc and metals such as lead and zinc alloys, and even composite plating. This type of steel plate has excellent rust prevention performance and good coating performance.
4、 Application of Galvanized Steel Strip
1. General civilian use: Processing household appliances such as sinks, reinforcing door panels, or strengthening kitchen utensils, etc
2. Construction industry: light steel keel, roof, ceiling, wall, waterproof board, rain frame, rolling shutter door, warehouse interior and exterior panels, insulation pipe shell, etc
3. Home appliances: refrigerators, washing machines, showers, vacuum cleaners, and other household appliances with reinforced protective functions
4. Automotive industry: components for large cars, trucks, trailers, luggage trucks, refrigerated trucks, garage doors, wipers, mudguards, fuel tanks, water tanks, etc
5. Industrial industry: As a substrate for stamping materials, it is used in bicycles, digital products, armored cables, and other fields
6. Other aspects: equipment box covers, electrical cabinets, instrument panels, office furniture, etc.
Types of galvanized steel strip:
(1) Hot-dip galvanized steel strip: This type of steel strip refers to the steel strip that is immersed in a tank containing molten zinc so that the zinc adheres to the surface of the steel strip. At present, the main method used in manufacturers is the continuous hot-dip galvanizing method, that is, the cold-rolled coiled steel strip is continuously immersed in a zinc plating tank to finally produce galvanized steel strip.
(2) Alloy galvanized steel strip: The production process of alloy galvanized steel strip is also processed by hot-dip method. However, this method must wait for it to be heated to about 500℃ immediately after it comes out of the tank, which will produce an alloy film of zinc and iron. Alloy galvanized steel strip has good adhesion.
(3) Electrogalvanized steel strip: This type of galvanized steel strip produced by electroplating has excellent production performance. However, the hot-dip galvanizing layer is thinner and its corrosion resistance is not as good as that of hot-dip galvanized sheet.
(4) Galvanized steel strip with both sides and double-sided differential galvanized steel strip: Galvanized steel strip with both sides, in short, is a product that is hot-dip galvanized on only one side of the steel strip. It has stronger adaptability than double-sided galvanized steel sheet in terms of arc welding, painting, anti-rust treatment, and manufacturing. It is convenient to solve the problem of not coating one side with zinc, and the other side is made into a thin zinc galvanized steel sheet, that is, double-sided differential galvanized steel sheet.
(5) Alloy and composite galvanized steel strip: galvanized steel strip made of metal composite materials such as zinc and lead-zinc alloy. This type of steel strip not only has high-quality anti-rust treatment performance, but also has high-quality painting performance.
