The decline in global crude steel production in January 2025 reflects the uncertainty of the global economic recovery and the impact of weak demand in some regions. China, the world's largest crude steel producer, has had a significant impact on global figures. At the same time, crude steel production in countries such as India and the United States bucked the trend, showing the divergence of regional markets.

According to worldsteel, the trend of global crude steel production in the coming months will depend on the global economic situation, energy price volatility and the impact of policy adjustments in various countries. Industry experts have called on countries to strengthen cooperation and promote the application of green steel production technologies to address the twin challenges of climate change and market demand.
