Seamless steel pipes are steel pipes made from a whole Round Steel that has been perforated, with no seams on the surface, and are referred to asseamless steel pipes.

According to the production method, seamleSs Steel pipes can be divided into hot-rolled seamless steel pipes, cold-rolled seamless steel pipes, cold-drawn seamless steel pipes, extrudedseamless steel pipes, and top pipes, among others. Based on the cross-sectional shape, seamless steel pipes are categorized into round and special-shaped pipes. Special-shaped pipes include square, oval, triangular, hexagonal, almond-shaped, star-shaped, and various complex shapes with wings. The maximum diameter can reach 900mm, while the minimum diameter is 4mm. Depending on their intended use, there are thick-walled seamless steel pipes and thin-walled seamless steel pipes. Seamless steel pipes are mainly used for petroleum geological drilling pipes, cracking pipes for petrochemical use, boiler pipes, bearing pipes, as well as high-precision structural steel pipes for automobiles, tractors, and aviation.

Seamless steel pipes along their perimeter in cross-section. They are divided into hot-rolled pipes, cold-rolled pipes, cold-drawn pipes, extruded pipes, jacking pipes, etc., based on different production methods, each with its own craft specifications. The materials include ordinary and high-quality carbon structural steel (Q215-A to Q275-A and grades 10 to 50), low-alloy steel (09MnV, 16Mn, etc.), alloy steel, stainless and acid-resistant steel, etc. According to their uses, they are classified into general-purpose (used for water conveyance, gas pipelines, structural components, and mechanical parts) and specialized (used for boilers, geological exploration, bearings, acid resistance, etc.) categories.

Seamless steel pipes have a wide range of applications.

1. Seamless steel pipes for general use are rolled from ordinary carbon structural steel, low-alloy structural steel, or alloy structural steel. They have the highest output and are mainly used as pipelines for conveying fluids or structural components.

2. They are supplied in three categories based on different uses: a. Supplied according to chemical composition and mechanical properties; b. Supplied according to mechanical properties; c. Supplied according to water pressure tests. Steel pipes supplied according to categories a and b, such as those used to withstand liquid pressure, must also undergo water pressure tests.

3. Seamless pipes for specialized purposes include seamless pipes for boilers, for chemical and power use, geological seamless steel pipes, and seamless pipes for petroleum, among others. Seamless steel pipes have a hollow cross-section and are widely used as pipelines for conveying fluids, such as oil, natural gas, gas, water, and certain solid materials. Compared to solid steel materials like round steel, seamless steel pipes are lighter at the same bending and torsional strength, making them an economical sectional steel material. They are widely used to manufacture structural components and mechanical parts, such as oil drill rods, automotive drive shafts, bicycle frames, and steel scaffolding used in construction, allowing for improved material utilization and simplified manufacturing processes, saving materials and processing time. Thus, seamless steel pipes are extensively used for manufacturing.
