Product Description
I-beam is a kind of carbon structural steel that has been rolled and cold-formed. It is in the shape of an I-beam and is mainly used for structural parts that bear tension and pressure. There are many types and specifications of I-beams, such as the common HW, HM, HN types, etc., and the cross-sectional dimensions and weights of each type are different. The calculation formula is: I-beam cross-sectional area (mm²) = h×b×t; I-beam theoretical weight (kg/m) = I-beam cross-sectional area (mm²) × 0.00785. The overall dimensions of I-beams are generally 3-12 meters long, 100-500 mm high, and 5-25 mm thick. Among them, HW-type I-beams are often used for beams and columns in steel structure projects, and are usually made of carbon structural steels such as Q235B.
Product features of I-beams:
1. Excellent tensile strength and compressive strength. I-beams are processed by high-temperature hot rolling and cold forming in the production process. They have extremely high tensile strength and compressive strength and can withstand large external forces and weights.
2. Light weight and high strength. Compared with steel components made of other materials, I-beams are lighter in weight, but have higher tensile and compressive strengths, and are not easily deformed or broken after long-term use.
3. Easy construction and installation. I-beams have uniform dimensions, are not easily deformed, and have high processing accuracy. They can be easily installed by crane or hoist, which improves the progress of the project.
