Galvanized steel wire is a steel wire product made by coating a layer of zinc metal on the surface of ordinary steel wire. The zinc layer is attached to the surface of the steel wire through hot-dip (hot-dip galvanizing) or electroplating (electro-galvanizing) processes to form a dense protective layer, which significantly improves the corrosion resistance and durability of the steel wire, and is suitable for various harsh environments.
Production process
Hot-dip galvanizing process: The steel wire is immersed in molten zinc to form a thicker zinc layer (usually ≥ 50g/m²), which has stronger rust resistance and is suitable for long-term outdoor use.
Electrogalvanizing process: through electrolytic reaction, a uniform and bright thin zinc layer (usually ≤ 30g/m²) is formed on the surface of the steel wire, which is low cost and suitable for general rust prevention needs.
