Product Description
There are many specifications of H-shaped steel products, and there are several classification methods as follows.
(1) According to the flange width of the product, it is divided into wide flange, medium flange and narrow flange H-shaped steel. The flange width B of wide flange and medium flange H-shaped steel is greater than or equal to the web height H. The flange width B of narrow flange H-shaped steel is approximately equal to half of the web height H.
(2) According to the use of the product, it is divided into H-shaped steel beams, H-shaped steel columns, H-shaped steel piles, and extra-thick flange H-shaped steel beams. Sometimes parallel leg channel steel and parallel flange T-shaped steel are also included in the scope of H-shaped steel. Generally, narrow flange H-shaped steel is used as beam material and wide flange H-shaped steel is used as column material, so it is also called beam-type H-shaped steel and column-type H-shaped steel.
(3) According to the production method, it is divided into welded H-shaped steel and rolled H-shaped steel.
H-shaped steel is a new type of economical construction steel. The cross-section of H-shaped steel has economical and reasonable shape, good mechanical properties, and the extension of each point on the cross-section during rolling is relatively uniform and the internal stress is small. Compared with ordinary I-shaped steel, it has the advantages of large cross-sectional modulus, light weight, and metal saving, which can reduce the building structure by 30-40%; and because the inner and outer sides of the legs are parallel, the leg ends are right angled, and assemble and combine to form components, it can save the welding and riveting workload by 25%. It is often used in large buildings (such as factories, high-rise buildings, etc.), as well as bridges, ships, lifting and transportation machinery, equipment foundations, brackets, foundation piles, etc.
